The Inspiring Origin of Drushtihin Kalyan Sangh
Drushtihin Kalyan Sangh is a testament to the transformative power of resilience, compassion, and purpose. Its journey began with Renu Kodolikar, a mother who turned personal grief into a mission of empowerment. After losing her daughter Swarada—who was visually impaired due to a rare genetic disorder—Renu discovered her calling in an act of unexpected kindness: serving as a writer for a visually impaired student who had no support.
This simple yet profound gesture marked the beginning of a lifelong
commitment. Collaborating with Santosh Raut, a
visually impaired youth who shared her vision, Renu started supporting visually impaired students.
Together, they
provided educational resources, arranged exam writers, and became advocates for inclusivity and equal
opportunities.
What began as a small initiative evolved into Drushtihin Kalyan Sangh, a registered charitable
organization founded in
2021. Today, the organization impacts countless lives across Pune and its neighboring regions, driven
by
a mission to
foster education, accessibility, and empowerment.
Drushtihin Kalyan Sangh stands as a beacon of hope, proving that even in the face of adversity, compassion and determination can create lasting change.
